We have traveled around the U.S. in RV’s of different sizes. But I seem to paint more SW landscapes than anything else. I grew up in Phoenix and went to undergraduate school at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. One of my suite mates was from Old Oraibi on the Hopi reservation and one of my roommates was from Window Rock, NM on the Navajo Reservation. I was lucky enough to visit both of their homes. I have been in love with the four corners region ever since. I manage to get back there every couple of years.

My husband is from Maine and most of his family still lives there so we visited often. Point Reyes Farm Point Reyes Farm, oil on canvas, 12″ x 24″, is one of the original dairy farms on Drakes Estero, in the foggy Point Reyes National Seashore. Fairytale Morning Morikami Lantern 1 Fairytale Morning, watercolor on paper, 30″ x 22″. is a scene from Jorny, in Burgundy, France. Morikami Lantern 1, watercolor on watercolor ground on 14″ x 11″ 1/2″ cradled claybord, has a streaked and impressionistic effect due to the watercolor ground. No glazing needed. A Trace of Water shows the moss path created by a seepage of water down a cliff in Monument Valley. In the Land of Giants is also in Monument Valley Sagebrush at Sunset is my interpretation of the glow I saw on a patch of sagebrush in Ranchos de Taos, NM Taos Noon is my interpretation of … a Taos noon.
